Sunrise Service – 7am Easter Morning
We gather to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Apple Butter Days – Second Saturday of October
Every year we make apple butter the traditional way: in a copper kettle over an open fire. On the Friday before, we get together to peel and cut apples. Saturday begins at 4am, when the fires are started and the kettles put on. The kettles are stirred constantly throughout the day with large wooden paddles. Between 2pm and 4pm the apple butter is jarred. Afterward everyone gathers for hot apple butter and biscuits.
